Introduction
With the introduction of the AXYS® Intellivox Series a true revolution in public address sound reinforcement has been caused. The unique, patented DDC technology has now been fully integrated into an intelligent 'Plug & Play' loudspeaker product. All functions needed to adjust and to complete an installation are available by remote control through the RS485 network coupled to a PC.Features

What is DDC?
DDC stands for Digital Directivity Control. DDC represents a multi-channel loudspeaker array technology where the single loudspeaker elements are positioned in space according to a patented algorithm. Each speaker channel is fed with its proprietary, digitally calculated signal. This technology enables a very precise energy dispersion manipulation over a large bandwidth, both in opening as well as directional angle, of a loudspeaker line array. Opening angles as little as 6 degrees and usable steering angles from -16 to +16 degrees has become fact.What offers DDC?
Due to the very specific properties it is possible to address a listening plane without hitting unwanted surfaces, and thus avoiding unwanted reflections. This results in a very high ratio between direct and reverberant sound, enormously increasing speech intelligibility especially in reverberant rooms.Next to the directivity aspects the DDC technology also offers an unsurpassed equal SPL (Sound Pressure Level) distribution over a large distance. Over exciting the frontal area in order to remain sufficient SPL at the back of a listening plane is no longer necessary.
In cases where sound pollution problems need to be dealt with, the DDC technology might be successful implemented.
What applications can be fulfilled?
In principle the Intellivox System can be implemented in any reverberant space where excellent speech intelligibility is required. Churches, railway stations, airport departure and arrival halls, large conference rooms, sports facilities and swimming pools, museums, shopping malls, auditoriums and theatres just to name a few. Whenever large areas outdoors need to be equally addressed, the Intellivox System also might be taken into consideration. Outdoor weatherproof systems are available upon request.
