MCWD-200 Conference System installation at Mansfield Town Council
Mansfield Council have completely equipped their chamber room with beyerdynamic’s Phase 4 MCWD – digital wireless conference system - the first in the UK. There is one chairman unit and 49 delegate units with voting buttons.
Phase 4 options include digital recording, zoning functions and translation options. Working in the 2.4 GHz band to give extra security, the system offers 5 different ways for delegates to vote. Results are collated by the intelligent controller and can then be displayed via PC to a projection screen in graphic form, easily saved into Microsoft Word
The complete system was installed by Apple Sound. "The beyer system is completely wireless," explains Tim Brown, "and this makes setting up and installing a conference system so much easier. The clients like the fact that we cause the minimum amount of disruption to their room and meeting schedule. Being radio, the system works pretty much anywhere."
Options available include StenoS recording Software programme, which means that the whole meeting can be recorded, stored and archived onto a single CD. The system also offers the ability to utilise beyer’s Multilingual translation system (SIS). Delegates can select their preferred listening language via the buttons on each individual unit.
